Patricia "Patty Ann" Carlson Obituary - 2023 (2024)

Patricia "Patty Ann" Carlson (née Holly)
Beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandma and friend, passed away unexpectedly due to a stroke on September 10, 2023, at the age of 76, surrounded by family. Patty was preceded in death by parents John and Alice (née McDonnell) Holly, and infant brothers Patrick James and James Patrick. Survived by sister Mary Lynn Casper; sons, Scott and Kevin (Christina DeVos) Carlson; and daughter, Alissa (Heath) Brown; and loving grandchildren, Maura Frana, Hayden Brown, and Elizabeth and Michael Panetta. She is also survived by adoring nephews and nieces whom she loved like her own, including Godson Daniel (Sarah) Casper, Kerry (Shea) Huston, Tracey (Brandon Holman) Casper, Michael (Kaitlin) Casper, and Holly Casper-Karoff, and many great-nephews and nieces, including Makinzy (PJ) Gannon and Hannah (fiancé Preston Kern) Casper-McIntyre.

Patty graduated from Derham Hall High School in 1965 and went on to the College of St. Catherine to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics in 1969. She had a long and successful career as a realtor, then moved on to the non-profit organization Global Volunteers until her retirement in 2020.

Patty loved music and art as well as spending time with her family and friends. She was smart and hysterically funny. Most of all, Patty’s faith in the Lord and the Blessed Mother was her true guiding light. Anyone who knew Patty Ann knew her faith and felt God’s love through her encouragement, her compliments, and her cooking. We miss her terribly, but we are forever grateful for the love and support she gave to each of us.
